How 1Cortex works

1Cortex is a goal-driven AI orchestration platform. This page defines the goal-to-outcome loop the platform runs and where it is headed.

How it worksRoadmapFrequently asked questions

How it works

Every goal on 1Cortex runs through the same loop: goal, team, plan, work, checks, adjustment, outcome. The plain-language names below are the terms 1Cortex uses.

01

Your goal

The outcome you want, described in your own words, with the constraints that matter. The goal is the only required input.

02

The team

1Cortex assembles the team for the goal: a lead plus specialized agents, each with a role. The roster fits the job.

03

The plan

Before work starts, you see the plan — what will be done, by whom, and in what order.

04

The work

Agents do their jobs in parallel, delegate subtasks, and hand results between roles.

05

The checks

Results are checked against the goal and against evidence; weak work is sent back.

06

The adjustment

When something fails or the world changes, the plan is revised and work continues.

07

The outcome

You receive a usable deliverable, with evidence, ready for your decision.

Roadmap

1Cortex is in active development. The goal-to-outcome loop above is the foundation; the roadmap develops the platform around it.

Phase 1 — Goal-driven teams

Goal input, automatic team assembly, visible plans, and parallel execution across specialized agents with shared memory. This is the core loop 1Cortex runs today.

Phase 2 — Verification depth

Stronger evaluation gates, evidence tooling, and visible verification output so outcomes carry the confidence and sources you need to act on them.

Phase 3 — Breadth and choice

A growing library of goal templates across domains, richer model and tool choice per role, and team-level controls for organizations running many goals.

Frequently asked questions

What is a goal on 1Cortex?

A goal is the outcome you want, described in your own words, plus any constraints that matter: deadline, budget, sources you trust, and decisions only you can make. It is the only required input.

How are agents chosen for a goal?

1Cortex assembles a team for the goal: a lead plus specialized agents, each with a role such as research, analysis, writing, or verification. The roster is built to fit the job.

How is my work verified?

Results are checked against the goal and against evidence at evaluation gates. Weak or unsourced work is sent back rather than passed through.

Is 1Cortex live?

1Cortex is in active development. The goal-to-outcome loop is the foundation of the platform.
